Lived Experience

Seeds of Multiculturalism grows from lived experience with race, culture, diversity, and community care across Oregon and California. Our work is rooted in years of grassroots organizing, ministry, education, and community engagement.
These experiences shape how we design and facilitate gatherings that are welcoming, respectful, culturally responsive, and grounded in real-life experiences.
We recognize that meaningful learning happens when people can see themselves, their families, and their communities reflected in the conversation. Our examples, activities, and discussions are intentionally designed to connect with participants lived experiences, making the learning practical, relevant, and authentic. Rather than relying solely on abstract theory, we draw from the day-to-day realities that individuals and communities face as they navigate racial and cultural differences.
Through this approach, Seeds of Multiculturalism creates opportunities for participants to build cultural awareness, deepen understanding, challenge assumptions, and develop practical tools for creating more inclusive and connected communities. Our work is guided by the belief that meaningful change begins with honest dialogue, shared experiences, and a commitment to learning from one another.
