Equity Leadership Training is for people who carry influence-whether you have a formal title or you're the person others turn to when something isn't right. We focus on how to lead with an equity lens in real, everyday decisions, not just in policy documents.
Together, we unpack how power, privilege, and identity show up in hiring, discipline, workload, resource allocation, and community partnerships. Leaders learn to ask better questions: Who is at the table? Who is impacted but not present? How might this decision land differently across race, culture, language, and class?
We work through case examples drawn from schools, nonprofits, and community organizations, then invite you to map your own "pressure points"-places where inequity keeps resurfacing. From there, we co-create practical strategies: equity-centered meeting practices, transparent decision processes, inclusive supervision approaches, and feedback channels that feel safe for staff and participants.
This training also supports leaders in navigating resistance and fatigue. We explore how to communicate about change, how to pace initiatives so they are sustainable, and how to model vulnerability without losing clarity. Participants receive templates and planning tools they can adapt for their teams.
By the end of the series, leaders leave with a concrete equity action plan, clearer role expectations, and more confidence to speak about equity in ways that are honest, grounded, and connected to your mission. Most importantly, you will not be doing this work alone; we create space for leaders to learn from one another so equity becomes a shared practice, not a solo burden.
Share your questions or ideas and we will respond with thoughtful, practical next steps to support your multicultural education, workshops, trainings, or community projects across Oregon and California.
