Anti-Bias Workshop

Anti-Bias Workshop

$400.00
Our Anti-Bias Workshop is a grounded, honest space to unpack how bias shows up in daily decisions-without shaming people for having it. We look at unconscious patterns shaped by media, education, and history, and then practice doing something different on purpose.

Instead of simply naming "implicit bias," we walk through real-life situations from workplaces, classrooms, and community groups in Oregon / California: Who gets interrupted? Who is trusted with leadership? Whose concerns are dismissed as "too sensitive" or "not a good fit right now"? Participants work in small groups to spot bias, trace its impact, and try out more equitable responses.

During this workshop, you will:
- Learn what bias is (and isn't), in clear and accessible language
- Identify your own bias triggers and how they influence decision-making
- Practice concrete interruption skills-from asking better questions to revisiting unfair choices
- Explore simple ways to shift everyday habits: hiring, feedback, discipline, and invitation lists

We design the space as both safe and brave: participants are encouraged to ask clumsy questions, share honestly, and try again when they miss the mark. Activities are structured and time-bound so no one is put on the spot to "represent" a whole community.

This session works well as a foundation before Equity Leadership or Diversity and Inclusion Training, or as a stand‑alone experience for teams that want to move beyond checkbox anti-racism webinars. People leave with more than awareness; they walk away with a shared language, a clearer view of how bias harms real people, and everyday practices to reduce that harm over time.
